Job summary

Homewood Suites Arlington is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support engineering operations, including preventive maintenance and property repairs. You will work with the Chief Engineer to protect assets and ensure guest satisfaction through reliable service.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, plus 2+ years in maintenance and drywall repair experience. Evening shifts and weekends are required, with a pay rate of $26–$26.25 per hour and full benefits through the employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CPO/certification desirable or obtainable based on property needs.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred; detail-oriented and able to perform in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Drywall repair experience is required.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly throughout shift.
• Availability for evening shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of property assets; assists Chief Engineer with preventive maintenance, inspections and capital expenditures.
• Provides guest service related to maintenance requests and property knowledge.
• Assesses property assets and recommends maintenance solutions in collaboration with managers.
• Follows SOPs and works as a team with other departments to meet guest needs.
• Ensures safe work area and uses PPE as required.
