Job summary

The Shaner Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee upkeep, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hotel equipment and facilities. Responsibilities focus on commercial refrigeration, ice machines, industrial chiller systems, air handling units, and general hotel maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable guest experience.

Ideal candidates are customer-service oriented, mechanically skilled, and able to respond promptly to guest maintenance concerns while following

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of maintenance experience, preferably in hotels or commercial settings.
• Strong refrigeration background, including ice machines and systems.
• Knowledge of industrial chillers and air handling units.
• General building maintenance knowledge: plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ice machines, refrigeration units, air handling units, and chillers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and building maintenance issues and identify solutions.
• Perform general maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas.
• Follow maintenance programs and cleaning schedules.
• Maintain quality, cleanliness, and appearance across daily tasks.
• Respond to guest maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
• Observe safety rules and security procedures.
• Assist with inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Handle, store, and dispose of maintenance chemicals safely.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Assist other departments with maintenance-related needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
