Job summary

Maine Course Hospitality Group in Burlington, VT is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, perform repairs, and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently.

You will lead maintenance tasks, coordinate with the General Manager and department leaders, maintain logs, and respond promptly to guest service needs. The role requires hands-on leadership and a commitment to high standards.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance, building operations, or facilities experience in hotels.
• Management experience required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical labor as needed.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends or evenings.
• EPA or other maintenance certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and appliances.
• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests and guest service needs.
• Maintain property safety by inspecting and repairing locks, doors, alarms, lighting, and other safety systems.
• Assist with pool/spa operations (if applicable), including chemical testing and equipment maintenance.
• Support cleanliness and upkeep of building exteriors, grounds, and hotel equipment.
• Work closely with the General Manager and department leaders to coordinate repairs and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of completed work.
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs for tools, parts, or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and all local/state regulations.
