We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for shift coverage including maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of hotel facilities, equipment, and building systems. This position performs preventative maintenance and responds to guest room, public area, and back‑of‑house maintenance requests to provide a safe, comfortable, and exceptional guest experience. The Hotel Maintenance Mechanic works with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Perform daily inspections of hotel facilities and equipment.
Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building‑related issues.
Complete preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and operational equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
Repair and maintain doors, locks, lighting fixtures, appliances, furniture, walls, ceilings, flooring, and fixtures.
Monitor and maintain boilers, chillers, water systems, generators, fire life‑safety systems, and other building equipment.
Maintain swimming pool and related equipment in compliance with health regulations, if applicable.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventive maintenance records.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, fire regulations, and company safety standards.
Assist with hotel renovations, room upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
Participate in emergency response procedures and on‑call maintenance support as required.
Maintain clean and organized maintenance work areas, tools, and equipment.

2nd Shift Availability 3 shifts per week (typical shift 3:00PM-11:30PM)
Overnight Availability 2 shifts per week (typical shift 11:00PM-7:30AM)
Technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of maintenance, facilities, building engineering, or hotel maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with hospitality, commercial buildings, or multi‑unit facilities is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and building maintenance issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient in using maintenance tools, equipment, and computerized work‑order systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
