Job summary

Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer A for a full-time, hourly position in downtown Salt Lake City. You’ll maintain and repair guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas, performing preventative maintenance and supporting engineering operations.

This entry-level role offers on-site work with flexible shifts, opportunities to learn across mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry systems, and benefits including hotel discounts and education

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Self-starter with proactive attitude.
• Flexible schedule includes overnight, weekend, and holidays.

A General Maintenance will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills. This position may also assist with shift coverage in other areas of the Engineering function.
