Job summary

The McCormick Scottsdale, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead daily facilities operations at our Scottsdale property, ensuring safety, reliability, and guest comfort. You’ll manage budgets, oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and CMMS, collaborate with leadership, and drive maintenance programs in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Strong leadership, technical acumen, and a degree in engineering are preferred; nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in hospitality or related industry.
• Experience managing operations, budgets, or departmental goals.
• Strong knowledge of CAPEX, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Proven ability to lead through change and drive results.

Proven leadership experience in hospitality or related industry

Technical / Role-Specific Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or in a similar role within the hospitality or facilities management sector
• Strong knowledge of CAPEX, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and relevant maintenance practices
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other departments and external vendors
• Technical proficiency in CMMS and/ or other maintenance management software
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols pertinent to building management
• Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support hotel operations
• A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
