Job summary

The Jackson Southtown is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to manage and repair critical building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and effective supervision of maintenance staff.

Responsibilities include evaluating systems, planning repairs, coordinating with the maintenance supervisor, and ensuring safe, timely completion of all work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five+ years of maintenance experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.
• Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for reports, logs, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs needed.
• Plan work priorities with maintenance supervisor and assess skills required.
• Assess building systems to assign work.
• Collaborate with team to discuss assignments and delegate based on skills.
• Ensure maintenance and repair work is safe, effective, and timely.
• Assist team with technical issues and complex problems.
• Inspect work performed by team members.
• Track time, materials, and resources for inventory.
