Job summary

TBC Hotels in Dewey Beach is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day maintenance across our properties. You will supervise a maintenance team, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs to keep systems running smoothly and safely for guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5-7 years of professional experience in maintenance, preferably within the hotel industry.
• HVAC, Electrical Systems or Plumbing certifications preferred.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the hotel's operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify areas needing repair or improvement.
• Coordinate and oversee repairs, renovations, and installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and hotel standards.
• Enforce safety protocols to maintain guest and staff safety.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and servicing.
• Assist in managing the maintenance budget and source cost-effective suppliers.
• Monitor expenses and optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors; negotiate contracts and ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with other departments to address guest maintenance concerns promptly.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as outages or safety hazards.
