Job summary

Kiawah River Hospitality Group LLC is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Team Member to safeguard our property's infrastructure and ensure guest comfort. You will perform maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fixtures, troubleshoot issues, and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.

This role requires night shifts (10:30 pm to 7:00 am), strong tool skills, and the ability to read technical instructions. English communication with guests and staff is essential for a welcoming property.

Qualifications

  • Hotel/property management technician experience preferred.
  • Skilled with power tools and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions for assembly of equipment and furniture.
  • English communication with guests and team members.
  • Some PM shifts required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fixtures.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment and facility issues to minimize downtime.
  • Repair leaks, replace fixtures, and refurbish furniture as needed.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize guest disruption.
  • Work overnight 10:30 pm – 7:00 am.

Job Description

Be the guardian of our property's infrastructure as a Hotel Maintenance Team Member. Ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and comfortable stay. With your technical prowess and proactive approach, you'll maintain our facilities to the highest standards, creating a welcoming environment that exceeds expectations.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other fixtures to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment, facilities, and guest rooms, addressing problems promptly to minimize downtime and inconvenience.
  • Conduct repairs on hotel property, such as fixing leaks, replacing broken fixtures, and repairing damaged furniture or equipment, to maintain the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the property.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of hotel facilities and equipment, identifying potential hazards and taking corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or elevator malfunctions, to quickly resolve issues and minimize disruptions to guest services.
  • Work overnight 10:30 pm - 7 am

Pay $22 - $24 / hour, commensurate with experience

Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a technician or engineer within a hotel or property management preferred
  • Experience with power tools use and safety
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Ability to work some PM shifts is required
