Job summary

First Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure hotel facilities and systems operate smoothly in Milwaukee, WI. You will perform preventative maintenance, tackle routine repairs, and support guest needs while maintaining a safe, professional environment.

This role requires weekend work (Saturday - Wednesday; off Thursday and Friday) and a focus on building, electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks, and effective communication with hotel departments to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the physical building structure, building systems, and equipment by performing preventative and routine maintenance.
• Complete grounds and custodial work as needed or assigned.
• Use tools and other power equipment, following all manufacturer and safety guidelines to ensure safety of self and others.
• Complete needed or assigned building, equipment, or room repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, sheetrock, and electrical work.
• Prioritize repairs or maintenance that may inconvenience guests.
• Communicate effectively with hotel departments to ensure timely response and completion of maintenance needs.
