Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC in San Diego seeks an Engineer for part-time, hands-on maintenance of hotel systems. You will respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation of HVAC, boiler, plumbing, and electrical equipment.

Great teamwork and guest-focused service matters. Requirements include a high school diploma and at least two years of building maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade courses in building maintenance and construction.
• Two years of experience in building maintenance and construction.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples from boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment and monitor domestic hot/cold water systems and electrical switch gears.
• Maintain engineering spaces and assist with daily operations.
• Make rounds to ensure everything is in working order.
• Complete maintenance requests and log readings for next shift.
• Respond to emergencies including fire alarms and power outages.
• Assist with boiler/chiller operation and building temperature control.
• Support parking lot maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
