Job summary

Fairfield Inn and Suites York, NE is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to diagnose and repair guest room and public area maintenance issues, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain building systems.

You will coordinate with outside vendors, support safety programs, and ensure guest and employee safety while following brand standards. This role offers on-site work with growth within a stable management company and hotel employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel maintenance or related experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders as needed.
• Basic computer or mobile app skills for work order tracking.
• Availability for occasional on-call or emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair guest room and public area maintenance issues.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance in all guest rooms.
• Conduct major mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Handle routine work orders with speed and accuracy.
• Complete exterior upkeep including grounds, lighting, and signage.
• Monitor and coordinate outside vendors and contractors.
• Support and enforce the hotel's risk management and safety programs.
• Ensure guest and employee safety at all times.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
