Job summary

StepStone-Hospitality-Inc is seeking a Hotel Engineer to maintain the hotel’s facilities, equipment, guest rooms, and public areas to ensure safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preventative/corrective maintenance, quick response to requests, and processing work orders through the maintenance system.

You will assist with inspections and property walks, coordinating with the Chief Engineer to meet brand standards and life-safety requirements while providing professional service to guests

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering or maintenance experience required.
• Hotel-specific maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in historic buildings is a plus.
• Luxury hotel engineering experience is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
• Strong communication, organization and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, able to prioritize multiple work orders, accurate documentation, OSHA life-safety procedures, flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel’s physical facilities, equipment, guest rooms, and public areas.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and respond to requests.
• Complete work orders through the hotel’s maintenance system and document actions.
• Assist with inspections, repairs, and routine property walks.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and hotel leadership to uphold brand standards.
