Job summary

Marquee Hospitality LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Engineer to join our management team. As the sole dedicated maintenance employee, you will ensure guest satisfaction through proactive maintenance and collaboration with staff.

You will handle preventative maintenance, budgeting support, and oversee contractor work while maintaining exterior areas and ensuring safety compliance. Prior hotel maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant maintenance experience or trade-related training.
• High school diploma or equivalent, certification, and/or vocational education desired.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Physically able to perform demanding maintenance tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and independence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to deliver guest satisfaction through maintenance tasks.
• Implement preventative maintenance processes per brand standards.
• Review and prioritize maintenance requests to maximize guest satisfaction and manage costs.
• Estimate and manage warranty programs and maintenance expenditures for budgeting.
• Solicit bids and oversee contractors to ensure cost-effective, timely work.
• Maintain exterior areas including building exterior and parking lot.
• Complete maintenance logs per brand standards and regulations.
• Implement safety procedures and staff training.
