Job summary

Hotel Elkhart, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across building systems and equipment. You’ll handle routine tasks, prioritize guest-impacting repairs, and support guest safety and comfort throughout the property.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hotel maintenance, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications preferred. A valid driver’s license may be required to support on-site operations and emergency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a hotel or similar facility
• High School diploma or equivalency required
• Electrical and/or plumbing certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the physical building structure, building systems, and equipment by performing preventative and routine maintenance
• Complete grounds and custodial work as needed or assigned
• Use tools and power equipment following safety guidelines to ensure safety of self and others
• Complete building, equipment, or room repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, sheetrock, and electrical work
• Prioritize repairs or maintenance that may impact guest experience
• Communicate with hotel departments to ensure timely response and completion of maintenance needs
• Listen to guests and address concerns; notify other departments as needed
• Maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; assist in emergencies
• Maintain balance and security of house bank and log transactions if applicable
