Job summary

Mainsail is seeking an Engineer II to handle daily maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, ensuring safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems, and collaborate with the Engineering Team on larger projects.

Responsibilities include supervising routine maintenance, logging readings, and maintaining tools and records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus technical or trade school certification is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance or engineering in hospitality or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment.
Knowledge of fire alarms, emergency power, and energy management systems.
Excellent communication skills, working well with other departments and guests.

Responsibilities

Maintain guest room and public area equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems and respond to emergencies.
Log readings from meters and gauges and keep daily activity records.
Coordinate with engineering team on larger projects and tasks.
Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and properly stored.
