Job summary

Soul Community Planet Hotels is seeking an Engineer I / Hotel Maintenance at Salishan Coastal Lodge. The role focuses on maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure safe, comfortable guest experiences.

Weekends are required; it is a full-time, hourly position with benefits. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with housekeeping and front desk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in a maintenance capacity.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest relations and resolve complaints.
• Follow hotel policies for lost and found items.
• Adhere to hotel safety requirements during accidents or emergencies.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Prioritize work orders to minimize guest disruption.
• Ensure timely, accurate completion of maintenance projects.
• Assist in electrical checks and minor repairs of hotel equipment.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment longevity.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and coordinate with staff for guest safety.
• Maintain inventory of tools and spare parts and update records.
