Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The role focuses on responding to guest requests, preventive maintenance, and repairs across hotel systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, and kitchen equipment.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of building maintenance experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school, special courses in building maintenance and construction.
• Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment and monitor domestic hot/cold-water systems and electrical switch gears.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and other daily operations.
• Make rounds to ensure everything is in working order.
• Complete maintenance requests, take equipment readings, and maintain logs.
• Respond to emergencies including fire alarms and power failures.
