Job summary

Embassy Suites Gulf Shores Beach Resort seeks a Maintenance Engineer to provide technical and maintenance services across the hotel, keeping equipment and systems in excellent condition. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, assist with repairs, and ensure guest satisfaction through reliable operations.

The role involves servicing electrical and plumbing systems, supervising routine tasks, and contributing to the upkeep of building exteriors and guest rooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance as required by hotel scheduling.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep hotel systems and equipment in good condition.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and small repair tasks (e.g., replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, vinyl patches).
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Service hotel pool, including chemical adjustments and filter cleaning.
• Maintain exterior of building and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, trash removal).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and common areas as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Operate heavy machinery and assemble/repair wiring, plumbing, and equipment as required.
• Document maintenance work orders and communicate with other departments about room conditions.
