Job summary
Proper Hospitality’s Austin property seeks an Engineer to maintain and repair building systems, ensuring safe, efficient operations. Daily inspections, troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and infrastructure; perform preventive maintenance; respond to work orders; minimize guest disruption.
The Engineer will join the engineering team at our Downtown Austin location, requiring 1–2 years in maintenance or engineering, strong technical knowledge, and collaboration with Housekeeping and Front
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
- 1–2 years in maintenance or engineering, preferably in hospitality.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Experience with maintenance/work order systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of hotel facilities and systems.
- Repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and lighting.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues with minimal guest disruption.
- Carry out preventive maintenance per schedule.
- Assist in guest room and public area maintenance.
- Monitor equipment performance and report hazards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in training.
- Coordinate with Engineering Supervisor and other departments.
