Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn in Florida is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to preserve hotel facilities and assets to high quality standards. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, including HVAC and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, inspect facilities, and coordinate maintenance staff to stay within budget.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, inventory control, safety compliance, and collaboration with other engineers.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years maintenance or engineering experience in hotels preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Able to read prints and equipment instructions.
• Good communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Fire Safety.
• Develop and follow up action plans from technical visits and audits.
• Operate and maintain hotel mechanical systems (domestic water, hot water, chilled water, pool systems); boiler/chiller experience preferred.
• Maintain parts inventory; label, log, warranty dates and manuals.
• Assist with building maintenance and complete work orders to maintain quality.
• Keep a safe, organized work area and follow safety standards.
• Follow hotel purchasing procedures with nominated suppliers.
• Assist other engineers with repairs.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Any other duty as assigned by Hotel General Manager.
