Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Yakima is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep guest rooms and public areas in excellent condition. The role focuses on hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance and swift response to guest requests to ensure comfort and safety.

You will troubleshoot PTAC/HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems while performing painting, landscaping, and routine safety checks. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or property management setting is preferred.
• This role requires basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Job requires continuous movement, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on PTAC/HVAC equipment, furniture/cabinetry, appliances, light fixtures and plumbing.
• Perform interior and exterior painting, landscaping and parking lot repairs.
• Troubleshoot devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, television equipment, etc.
• Execute routine safety inspections and report/repair issues with equipment or systems.
• Respond to all guest requests with a sense of urgency and service frame of mind.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
