Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep guest rooms and public areas in optimal condition. You will perform repairs on HVAC equipment, plumbing, and electrical fixtures, and handle preventative maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable stay for guests.

The role requires basic communication, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or property management setting is preferred.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Job involves continuous movement, frequent bending, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Previous technical training or job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, furniture, appliances, lighting and plumbing.
• Paint interior/exterior, landscaping, and parking lot repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot devices like key card systems and internet/TV equipment.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report/repair issues.
• Respond promptly to guest requests with a service mindset.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork with all departments.
