Job summary

The Carolina Inn is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to handle hands-on maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry and HVAC systems. You will help keep the property attractive and well-maintained, addressing routine repairs and guest requests with professionalism.

Responsibilities include general repair tasks, daily rounds, preventive maintenance, and responding to alarms while coordinating with the Assistant Director of Engineering to ensure safety and smooth hotel

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years building maintenance experience, hotel experience preferred.
• Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and HVAC tasks.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares general repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry and painting.
• Assists staff and guests with maintenance needs under supervision.
• Conducts daily rounds and documents work performed.
• Performs preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Responds to hotel alarms and maintains a safe environment for all.
