Job summary

Peachtree Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide technical and maintenance services across the hotel, ensuring all equipment and systems stay in excellent condition. The role emphasizes guest-facing service, safety, and adherence to hotel standards.

The responsibilities include routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs across electrical and plumbing systems, pool maintenance, and refurbishing guest room furniture. On-site work with varied shift needs is typical.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner and comply with hospitality standards.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling and hotel needs.
• Know and enforce all department policies consistently with staff.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and systems running smoothly.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repair work orders (ceiling tiles, light bulbs, etc.).
• Check electrical systems (air conditioning controls, lighting) and perform minor repairs.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools; reassemble equipment.
• Service the hotel's pool, adjust chemicals, clean filters, and log maintenance requests.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting, trash removal).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms (cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows).
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and diagnose mechanical problems using manuals and blueprints.
• Assemble, install, and repair wiring, piping, and plumbing; maintain equipment.
• Complete work orders promptly and communicate with other departments about room conditions.
• Attend training/meetings as required by management.
