Job summary

MCR Hotels is seeking a maintenance/engineer for our Summerville property. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping support while ensuring guest safety and a spotless environment.

Responsibilities include responding to repair requests, following PM programs, and conducting property walks. Candidates should have a technical/vocational background and strong guest-service mindset, with the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well under pressure in a busy hotel environment.
• Effective listening and conflict resolution skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and use guest names when possible to welcome them.
• Maintain clean and organized front and back of house areas.
• Assist with general repairs and preventative maintenance as requested.
• Follow safety protocols and report emergencies to supervision.
• Complete maintenance walks at shift start and end; document needs and actions.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and well-organized during and after shifts.
