Job summary

Fairfield Inn Hammond is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee hotel maintenance, energy usage, and safety programs. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, carpentry and related tasks.

You will supervise maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment, coordinate with housekeeping and front desk, and ensure compliance with safety standards while managing preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, carpentry, outside maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hotel maintenance to prevent expenses and loss of business.
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, machinery and grounds under chief engineer oversight.
• Document and monitor preventative maintenance for major equipment.
• Coordinate access to guestrooms with housekeeping and front office.
• Report safety, security and health risks to General Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
