Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Downtown is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support general facility operations at the Cleveland property. You will handle repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a commercial facility or hospitality setting, strong communication, and a positive, team-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Listening, conflict resolution, and clear communication skills.
• Hospitality and guest service oriented.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Clock-in/out on time; do not work off the clock.
• Breaks: clock in/out as scheduled.
• Provide sufficient notice when calling out.

Responsibilities

• Repair requests: respond to guest requests for general repairs and document completion.
• Preventative maintenance: keep PM program up to date and on schedule.
• Safety and health: follow safety codes and report emergencies to supervisor.
• Full property walks: conduct at shift start and end; note and complete maintenance needs.
• Maintenance area upkeep: keep areas clean and organized during shift.
