Doubletree West Palm Beach Airport, operated by StepStone Hospitality, seeks a dependable Engineering Maintenance Technician to uphold the hotel’s operation and appearance. The role focuses on maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and guestroom issues.

Formación

• Experience in hotel maintenance or engineering preferred.
• Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls.
• Complete routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Maintain pool, grounds, lighting, and exterior areas as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and minor renovation projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
• Support emergency response procedures and after-hours needs when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.

This position is responsible for maintaining the overall operation and appearance of the hotel property, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or engineering experience preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Requirements

Additional Responsibilities Specific To You Are

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
• High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.
• CPR training and first aid training preferred.
