Job summary

The Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX is seeking a Mid-Level General Maintenance Engineer. You will perform general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas, with entry-level preventative maintenance included.

Expect responsibilities across mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment, and a need for good communication and a flexible schedule. Previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred; 2-3 years of maintenance work is required.

Qualifications

• Previous general hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of maintenance experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electricity, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Good communications skills are required.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• The Mid-Level Maintenance Engineer handles general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas.
• Performs guest room and public area preventative maintenance and addresses mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Maintains safe operation and communicates issues clearly with team members.
• Flexible scheduling to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
