Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Ana - Orange County Airport is seeking an experienced Hotel Engineer to maintain all hotel equipment, systems and building components to ensure guest safety and comfort. You will handle HVAC, pumps, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, lighting, paint and wall coverings across the property.
The position requires basic English communication, a maintenance mindset, and availability to respond to emergencies and during weekends/holidays.
The Engineer maintains all hotel equipment, systems and building components, including mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings and tile, so guests stay in safe, comfortable rooms and the property runs without interruption.
Requires standing and walking about 95 percent of the workday, along with sitting, talking and hearing. Must regularly use hands to handle, feel and operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Expected to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb and crawl depending on the task, and to lift or move from 10 to 100 pounds depending on the materials and tools. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Work is throughout the property, indoors and outdoors. Must be available on weekends, holidays and varied shifts, and to respond to maintenance emergencies.
