Job summary

L’Ermitage Beverly Hills is seeking an Engineer to handle operation, maintenance, service and repair of equipment across guest rooms and facilities. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, and assist in decorating and painting work as needed.

The role requires staying proactive, coordinating with housekeeping, and maintaining safety standards. The position supports a five-star, luxury hotel environment and may involve evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years of engineering support experience in hospitality is preferred.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, twist, push, pull, and use power and hand tools.
• Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and disposal is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to guidelines to ensure health, safety and guest comfort.
• Respond to guest calls and update work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate with guests to update status of repairs in rooms.
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment and systems.
• Inspect areas and report items to leadership for action.
• Ensure safe and tidy maintenance areas and tools storage.
