Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units, air handling units, and general maintenance in line with franchise standards. The ideal candidate will be customer-service oriented and willing to go the extra mile to enhance the guest experience.

Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required. Minimum two years of hotel maintenance experience preferred, with strong mechanical knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a hotel; franchised hotel experience a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for assignments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Be available for flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Observe all house and safety rules, departmental procedures, and security procedures.
• Assist with inventories as scheduled.
• Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
• Primary focus on preventative maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
