Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking an Engineer (Finance) to perform general maintenance, ensuring the hotel's physical plant meets quality and safety standards. The engineer takes care of the building, equipment and grounds of the hotel.

This position will perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel. You will handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and daily tasks to keep guest areas functional and safe, while supporting other departments to

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills with 1+ year of building maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exterior grounds are properly maintained daily.
• Complete minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Prepare equipment for next-day operations.
• Monitor equipment and electrical systems (HVAC controls, lighting, doors, TVs) and perform minor repairs.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms as needed.
• Maintain front entrance, parking, exterior cleanliness and safety of the facility.
