HHM Hotels in Tampa is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance across the hotel, ensuring operations meet quality and sustainability standards while delivering warm, guest-focused service.

The role covers inspections, electrical and plumbing tasks, painting, carpentry, furniture repair, HVAC maintenance, and record-keeping to comply with local codes. Flexibility for peak times and holiday shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and trade school coursework preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be mindful of guest satisfaction and work to improve it.
