Job summary

Qualifications

• Some college or advanced vocational training plus four years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Professional certification and license if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of the department; plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule employees.
• Enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff is trained and equipped to perform duties.
• Educate staff on safety to comply with laws and regulations.
• Maintain and repair buildings, rooms, equipment, lighting, HVAC, and water systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and budgets.
• Ensure inventory security and timely replenishment.
• Address guest questions and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for projects and bids.
• May act as manager on duty and supervise a small maintenance staff.
