Qualifications

• Five to seven years of job-related experience.
• Three to four years of supervisory experience.

• Experience with building maintenance processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure equipment, machinery, or instruments function reliably and facilities are in good working order.
• Process work orders; prepare and maintain work-related reports and records.
• Prioritize and assign tasks so that the team's resources are used effectively, and schedules and targets are met.
• Coach and mentor maintenance workers, assist them in diagnosing more complex problems, and train newer staff on operating standards and procedures.
• Inspect completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
• Oversee daily maintenance activity; maintain preventive maintenance program.
• Monitor proper use of equipment and supplies, conduct periodic inventories, and participate in the selection and purchasing of equipment and supplies.
• Provide input to budget development, funding priorities, and purchasing decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
