Job summary

Mokara Hotel & Spa on San Antonio's Riverwalk is seeking a Line Cook 3 to ensure timely prep and menu execution, working with the hotel’s culinary team.

You will prepare all items to spec, master fundamentals, and maintain organized prep sheets and station guides to support service.

The role requires at least 2 years of hotel/restaurant kitchen experience, strong communication, and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Able to work without immediate supervision and with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Basic math skills and understanding of weights and measures.
• Able to follow recipes and use culinary equipment safely.
• Food handlers certification or obtain upon hire.
• Culinary degree or formal training strongly preferred.
• Able to lift, push, pull and carry moderate weight.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and menu specifications.
• Work with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Stay organized with prep sheets and station guides.
• Maintain proper use of all culinary equipment safely.
• Plate presentations meeting specifications.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Attend required department meetings and trainings.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
