Job summary

The Wolfeboro Inn is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness for client linens and garments. You will feed linens into commercial cleaning equipment, iron and fold washed items, and ensure efficient operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications include prior laundry experience in hospitality, strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Prior laundry experience is preferred, specifically in hospitality industry.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all employees, vendors and clients.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Must be quick learner as this is a production-based environment.
• Ability to work fast-paced environment.
• Capable of lifting, bending, stooping, and pushing heavy loads; standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry thirty (30) to fifty (50) pounds.
• Flexible schedule required, including willingness to work morning/afternoon/evening shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment properly, safely and efficiently.
• Feed garments into equipment.
• Operate ironing and folding equipment.
• Untangle knotted linen when required.
• Manually attend to garments as necessary.
• Sort, count and pre-treat soiled linen in preparation for laundering.
• Load and unload washers and dryers.
• Fold, store and distribute towels and linens.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
