Job summary

Cambria Hotel Omaha Downtown is seeking a Restaurant Cook to open the kitchen each morning and prepare the station for service. You’ll cook according to orders, maintain quality, and work with the team to ensure smooth dining experiences.

The role requires basic food safety knowledge, following recipes, and a readiness to learn brand standards. Previous kitchen experience is preferred; a food handler certification may be required by local regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred; willing to learn will be considered.
• Food handler certification required as applicable by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Opens the kitchen and restaurant each morning, prepares the station and starts cooking.
• Prepares all orders as turned in by wait staff and ensures quick, accurate cooking.
• Learns menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation per brand specifications.
• Maintains proper food storage and holding temperatures.
• Cooks sufficient food in advance to cover expected business volume.
