Job summary

Fairmont Austin is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration, and Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our Engineering team. This role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations across the property.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently and with colleagues. EPA certification and 10+ years' experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, components, and safety standards.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, reading blueprints and diagrams, and using standard tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues; replace parts and test for leaks.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to complete repairs accurately.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Follow safety standards and environmental regulations when handling refrigerants.
