Job summary

The Sonnenalp Hotel in Colorado is seeking a full-time, year-round HVAC Maintenance Engineer to oversee, repair, and improve HVAC systems while keeping guests and staff comfortable and safe. The role includes supervision duties and backup coverage for the Chief Engineer during days off.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, HVAC training, and experience with boilers, chillers, and BMS. EPA 608 certification is highly preferred and advanced HVAC credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical or trade HVAC training preferred.
• EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification strongly preferred; other HVAC certs are assets.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, refrigeration, and building automation systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HVAC maintenance, oversee engineering staff, and assist guests and staff.
• Plan and schedule seasonal projects, order parts, and coordinate with Chief Engineer.
• Maintain safety, follow procedures, and supervise staff in the engineering department.
• Utilize HotSOS/WMS and BMS systems and train new engineering staff.
• Support night shift operations and be ready to substitute Chief Engineer as needed.
