Job summary

The Sonnenalp Hotel in Colorado is seeking a full-time, year-round HVAC Maintenance Engineer to support operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotels HVAC systems and to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Wage is $30.00–$34.00 per hour, dependent on experience, with rolling applications. Prior experience in hotel or similar facilities is preferred, and EPA 608 certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training in HVAC preferred.
• 1+ years in building maintenance, HVAC or facility engineering.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, refrigeration, and building automation systems required.
• EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification preferred; additional certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily HVAC maintenance and monitor boilers, chillers, pumps, and air handlers.
• Complete work orders and plan ahead for seasonal projects; coordinate with Chief Engineer.
• Order parts and tools; supervise staff where needed.
• Respond to guests professionally and assist other staff as required.
• Train new engineering staff and ensure readiness for night shifts and on-call duties.
• Operate HotSOS, Trane BMS, and Niagara BMS; follow safety procedures and maintain organized work areas.
