Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham/RTP in Durham, NC, is hiring a part-time Houseperson to help keep the hotel clean and well presented.

Shifts run 7am–3pm, with weekday and weekend availability required. Daily pay option available after each shift.

Primary duties include cleaning guest areas, assisting housekeepers, supporting maintenance reporting, and ensuring guest satisfaction at every opportunity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans hotel according to standards and timeframes (dusting, sweeping, windows, bathrooms).
• Maintains guest hallways, ensuring neat, clean spaces.
• Completes work projects as assigned by supervisor/management.
• Cleans and polishes floors, windows, vending machines, ice machines.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Supports housekeepers by assisting with room servicing and amenities delivery.
• Uses housekeeping chemicals safely to clean assigned areas.

Part Time Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham, Durham, NC, US

Salary Range: $15.00 To $16.00 Hourly

The Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham/RTP is currently hiring for a part-time Houseperson. The hours for this position are 7am-3pm; weekday and weekend availability is required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

To contribute to an attractive and clean hotel, in accordance with company and brand standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Cleans hotel according to standards and within required timeframes to include but not limited to: dusting furniture, sweeping, washing walls, scrubbing floor, washing windows, doors panels and sills; emptying trash, vacuuming carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; cleaning bathroom
• Maintains guest hallways, ensuring they are neat, clean and free of linen and trash
• Completes work projects as assigned by supervisor and management
• Cleans and polishes floors, windows, mirrors, vending machines, and ice machines
• Vacuums, shampoos, and removes soiled spots from carpets as required
• Removes all litter from public spaces
• Transports trash and waste to disposal areas
• Supports housekeepers by assisting with room servicing, including but not limited to, stripping beds, removing trash, bagging linen and transporting to laundry, etc.
• Aids guests by delivering requested service items and amenities to guestrooms
• Uses housekeeping chemicals as necessary to clean assigned areas to standard
• Prevents any damage to hotel property by exercising proper caution with chemicals and equipment
• Ensures proper maintenance and repair of hotel equipment by reporting all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Actively engages guests. Identifies the needs of our guests and meets these needs, aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity

JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend and crawl, squat and crouch, and tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
