Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for our Greenville, SC property. The role oversees housekeeping functions, ensures safety and cleanliness, and acts as a liaison with Front Office and Engineering to maintain high service standards.

Responsibilities include supervising Room Attendants, inspectingVIP rooms, and ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently. Strong communication and leadership are essential for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant performance daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In the absence of managers, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee end-of-day floor closing and restock carts.
• Ensure daily assignment records are completed and submitted on time.
• Maintain key control and handle Lost and Found per standards.
• Monitor carts, linen closets, and stairways for cleanliness and order.
• Assign duties and ensure staff carry a valid work assignment.
• Carry a pager/radio to stay in touch with Front Office/Engineering.
• Report progress on out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
