Job summary

Westin Baltimore is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at Westin Baltimore - Linthicum Heights, MD. You will oversee guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, ensuring safety and high cleanliness standards.

The role requires supervising staff, hiring and training, coordinating schedules, handling guest requests, and upholding company policies. We offer comprehensive benefits and an hourly wage range of $17.00–$19.00.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members, i.e., room attendants, house-persons, and inspectors to complete their tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping staff; provide open communication, training, coaching, and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline when appropriate.
• Supervise and inspect cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Issue assignments to staff and manage supplies to control inventory and expenses.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure protection of the hotel, guests, staff and assets.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
