Moxy Washington, DC Downtown is seeking an experienced Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations, lead housekeeping associates, and ensure high cleanliness standards across guest rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, floors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality.
• Coach Room Attendants and follow up on cleanliness discrepancies with coaching and documentation.
• Coordinate with Front Desk on late checkouts and room status updates.
• Maintain daily inventories (keys, linen) and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Support and develop housekeeping associates to promote teamwork and high standards.

About the Role

As a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll play an essential role within our Housekeeping TEAM, helping oversee daily housekeeping operations while ensuring our guest rooms, public areas, and overall hotel environment consistently meet our high standards.

You’ll provide leadership and support to our housekeeping associates, conduct quality inspections, promote efficient operations, and help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest.

This position requires flexibility and availability to work weekends, evenings when needed, holidays, and other days/times based on the operational needs of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, guest floors, public areas, and housekeeping services to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are consistently met.

• Follow up with Room Attendants regarding cleanliness discrepancies, including coaching, documentation, and progressive disciplinary action when necessary.

• Maintain ongoing communication with the Front Desk regarding late checkouts, Do Not Disturb rooms, room status discrepancies, and other guest room updates.

• Monitor and maintain daily key inventory and complete monthly linen inventories.

• Ensure all housekeeping associates follow proper safety procedures and hotel standards.

• Maintain the hotel’s Lost & Found program in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Follow up with Housemen regarding the cleanliness and upkeep of corridors, guest hallways, floors, carpets, and other assigned areas.

• Ensure housekeeping closets and work areas are properly stocked, clean, organized, and maintained.

• Support and coach housekeeping associates to promote teamwork, efficiency, and consistently high standards.

• Assist the Housekeeping Management Team with daily operations and additional responsibilities as needed.

• Help create a positive, respectful, and TEAM-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a hotel environment preferred.

• Previous hotel housekeeping or brand experience preferred.

• Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and other shifts as operational needs require.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a diverse TEAM.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with associates, guests, and other hotel departments.

• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to address issues professionally and efficiently.

• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus. Spanish language skills are highly desired.

• Positive, approachable attitude that makes both guests and TEAM members feel welcome and valued.

Compensation

$21.50 per hour
