Job summary

The Hilton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. You will oversee daily operations, ensure guest rooms and public areas meet our standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation, and help create an exceptional guest experience.

You will manage shifts, train staff, monitor supplies, and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues, while updating the management system and keeping records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior cleaning or supervisory experience in hospitality or related field.
• Strong team management, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, infection control, and commercial cleaning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Assign daily tasks, manage shift schedules, and arrange coverage for absences.
• Quality Inspections: Walk-through guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Training & Coaching: Onboard new hires, teach chemical usage, and provide performance feedback.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and room amenities; place orders as needed.
• Issue Resolution: Handle guest complaints promptly and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Administrative Duties: Update room statuses, log lost and found items, and generate shift reports.

• Issue Resolution: Handle guest complaints promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team to report and repair room defects.
