Job summary

ARK in Laurel, MD is seeking an experienced housekeeping manager to lead our housekeeping team and ensure impeccable cleanliness and safety for guests. You will supervise staff, oversee cleaning protocols, and manage inventory and budgets to support an exceptional stay.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in executive housekeeping or supervisory roles, a high school diploma or GED, strong EVS knowledge, and a proven focus on customer service. This is an on-site position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of experience as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping manager, or similar
• A High school diploma or GED is required
• Strong understanding of environmental services (EVS) including cleaning processes and how to use a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service
• Over 2 years of experience in guest services or hospitality

Responsibilities

• Keep a record of areas cleaned by room attendants and make a note of any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests
• Order cleaning supplies as needed, control inventory and manage the department budget
• Handle the hiring and training of housekeeping staff so that they can achieve and exceed our standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction
• Manage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas
• Make sure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and schedule repairs as needed
