Job summary

DoubleTree Newark Airport is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the daily housekeeping operations and uphold our cleanliness and safety standards. You will work closely with the Director of Housekeeping to maximize guest satisfaction and protect hotel assets.

You will supervise and motivate the team, inspect rooms and public areas, assign schedules, manage supplies, and respond promptly to guest needs while maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Hotel housekeeping experience, supervisory preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
• Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout an entire shift.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping team to ensure performance and productivity.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and brand standards.
• Assign daily work schedules and coordinate guest requests.
• Manage supplies and inventory to minimize waste.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve service issues.
• Maintain Lost & Found records and assist guests with inquiries.
• Support safety procedures and hotel policies.
• Foster a safe, respectful work environment and adherence to sanitation standards.
• Maintain attendance and work varied shifts as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support housekeeping and hotel operations.
